Who are we?

The Nannup Mountain Bike Club (NMBC) is a volunteer-run, not-for-profit community group dedicated to growing and supporting mountain biking in the beautiful South West of Western Australia. Based in the scenic town of Nannup, our club brings together riders of all ages and abilities who share a passion for trails, nature, and two wheels.

Our Story

NMBC was established in 2015 with a vision to create sustainable and exciting riding opportunities in our region. Working closely with the Shire of Nannup, our early efforts focused on developing what is now the Tank 7 Trail Park—a much-loved riding destination that continues to evolve and expand.

Since then, we’ve grown into a vibrant community of over 70 members, united by our shared love of mountain biking and the outdoors. Along the way, we’ve supported the development of public MTB infrastructure, such as the Nannup Pump Track, and continue to fundraise, advocate, and build on behalf of our community.

What We Do

NMBC is active year-round, running a range of activities and initiatives including:

  • Trail maintenance and stewardship to keep our local networks safe and rideable

  • Social ride days, weekends away, and sundowners to bring riders together

  • Women’s and youth programs to support new riders and build skills

  • Event hosting and collaboration with other MTB groups across WA

  • Advocacy and partnerships to secure land access, funding, and future trail development

Our Values

We’re guided by a set of core values that shape everything we do:

  • Connection – Building a welcoming, supportive riding community

  • Respect – For the environment, the land, each other, and trail etiquette

  • Fun – Encouraging play, creativity, and joy on the bike

  • Adventure – Embracing challenge and exploring the outdoors

  • Inclusivity – Creating a space where everyone feels welcome, from first-timers to seasoned riders

These values are at the heart of our club culture—and they’re visible in the way we ride, the events we run, and the trails we care for.

Get Involved

Whether you’re a local or just passing through, we’d love you to be part of NMBC. There are many ways to get involved:

  • Become a member and help support trail maintenance and club activities

  • Join us on a ride day or social event

  • Volunteer your time or skills

  • Support us as a sponsor or partner

We believe mountain biking should be accessible, adventurous, and community-driven—and we’re proud to be helping shape that future here in Nannup.
